Better

Blind, though I see
Drifting through silence
Around me, the familiar
Reminders of what I should know
Yet I don’t understand, confusion

Small steps, clear my mind, seek
Emotions clouding thought
Dim light over there, there in distance
But how do I know being blind?

A sound, compelling, pulling
Your voice wafting to my ear
Words from a friend, hand reaching out
The comfort of knowing you care

With this gift, better……
