A Search

Still, meaning of life seems missing
All along my long path of happiness
Most glorious journey, to be sure
Why must I still seek, but cannot find
Ever this search for my equal, the one bond
Unmet need to have my matching companion
That one of greatest heart, caring, love, respect

Travelling through the brightest times, looking to find
The hunt unrewarded, meaningless trivia at best
Hurrying through the darkest wastes of fear
Not one responded, none answered my pleading quest
Through all, this, most seemingly a hopeless waste
Alas, even so, heart heavy, I travelled on
Telling myself, there must be, will be, can be

But now, this creeping new fear ere intrude
The image gazing at me through the mirror
One of age, raggedy, tired, journey now short
I’ve been to all the greatest of places
From Hollywood, throughout the Redwood expanses
I’ve crossed oceans, traveller other countries
My journey broad and free, seemingly too short

I’ve met and befriended an abundance of friends
Enjoyed so much, learned even more
Looking outward, I find only more questions
Looking within, I find no solutions
What is it that has kept me searching
Enduring this shortcoming, emptiness of soul
Would that I beg for help to understand at last

And old, nearing an end
Walking the fine line of continuance
I find it’s you that keeps me searching
Thou, my unknown bond still pulls at my soul
Around the next corner, just out of sight
So close, so far, elusive evasion
So, I continue yet to seek, holding onto hope…

easy…In Her Step Life Doth Come

An End, or a New Beginning

The end so near, but it does not come
Anticipation, a longing to at last go home
This unbearable agony, need left far behind
Stepping forward on the next step of my journey
Excitement for the newest of futures to come

And yet, here I set…

The end so near, but it does not come
Anticipation, a longing to at last go home
This unbearable agony, need left far behind
Stepping forward on the next step of my journey
Excitement for the newest of futures to come

And yet, here I set
Is there reason, must be, need be
Something yet to do, task incomplete, work unfinished
More unknown, laid out in need of my skills
A helping to be offered, another someone in need
I need to know, desperately, for weary I be

I look within for answers, finding not
Reaching to the Creator, only silence returned
I ask help, yet no hand is thrust forward
Feeling lost, abused, abandoned, alone again
Would I beg, plead, cry out in my shame
Alas, I fear but another voice, lost to the night

So I set here, waiting
All agony, pain, and despair
Hope but a memory, Alone…

Agony Alone
Truest of Agony and Loneliness

New Reality

A struggle to find the words
Somewhere within me, deep inner search
Must reveal, find, bring out
Eyes closed, reality slips, a calm
Old demons now defeated
The unseen held, revealed, banished
And I grow, become, renewed, am
Here my world, unity builds, peace is
This new reality, Dreams have become my new world
Grand new world, no longer but a dream
Love is the way, all together, as one
Dream has become our the new reality
All the good blossoms, springs forth, we are
Contained within this new life, this being
Visible, real, past fading, future grows
This world, unity is the way, all of peace
No longer a dream hiding in words on a page
We are one…

For some reason, I find I need more than the ‘Ten’ preached at me,

1. Rise with the sun to pray. Pray alone. Pray often. The Great Spirit will listen, if you only speak.
2. Be tolerant of those who are lost on their path. Ignorance, conceit, anger, jealousy and greed stem from a lost soul. Pray that they will find guidance. 3. Search for yourself, by yourself. Do not allow others to make your path for you. It is your road, and yours alone. Others may walk it with you, but no one can walk it for you.
4. Treat the guests in your home with much consideration. Serve them the best food, give them the best bed and treat them with respect and honour.
5. Do not take what is not yours whether from a person, a community, the wilderness or from a culture. It was not earned nor given. It is not yours.
6. Respect all things that are placed upon this earth – whether it be people or plant.
7. Honour other people’s thoughts, wishes and words. Never interrupt another or mock or rudely mimic them. Allow each person the right to personal expression.
8. Never speak of others in a bad way. The negative energy that you put out into the universe will multiply when it returns to you.
9. All persons make mistakes. And all mistakes can be forgiven. 10. Bad thoughts cause illness of the mind, body and spirit. Practice optimism.
11. Nature is not for us, it is a part of us. They are part of your worldly family.
12. Children are the seeds of our future. Plant love in their hearts and water them with wisdom and life’s lessons. When they are grown, give them space to grow.
13. Avoid hurting the hearts of others. The poison of your pain will return to you.
14. Be truthful at all times. Honesty is the test of ones will within this universe.
15. Keep yourself balanced. Your Mental self, Spiritual self, Emotional self, and Physical self, all need to be strong, pure and healthy. Work out the body to strengthen the mind. Grow rich in spirit to cure emotional ails.
16. Make conscious decisions as to who you will be and how you will react. Be responsible for your own actions.
17. Respect the privacy and personal space of others. Do not touch the personal property of others, especially sacred and religious objects. This is forbidden.
18. Be true to yourself first. You cannot nurture and help others if you cannot nurture and help yourself first. 19. Respect others religious beliefs. Do not force your belief on others.
20. Share your good fortune with others. Participate in charity

This Journey

Come, take my hand
We together, will make this next step
No matter how small or large
No matter to which our goal
For as one, we can journey forever
Time and distance have no meaning
Only the journey be of importance

Where once I travelled alone
A broken Spirit lost on the road
Ever seeking, searching to be complete
Knowing happiness lay just before me
I looked, sought, moved on
Battling away depression and doubt
Ever strong, never to give in

And what came but hope
A chance meeting of two like souls
Two ships, adrift on pain from their pasts
Two, at long last ready, compelled
The tentative reaching grasp
That fearful first embrace
Can this be our start

Reach out, take, give, hold
The challenge of our new road before us
Our journey together calls
Open your heart, know my soul
Open your soul, know your own heart
Let all of it be the bridge
Our guide to walk your journey

We fly with on wings of the thought
Feel with the wisdom of yesterdays
Can we not rejoice in what will come if we dare
Past loss gives way, nothing left to frighten us
All pain cast aside by this future brightening
Yet, we must take this first step

Beginning this journey of heart…

Morning Dance

Brief glints,
Glimmering white dancing through the low hanging mist,
Darkness recedes as day begins,
And the child notices,
The light of her smile further brightening this new day,
Night life moves to rest as day life awakens,
A stirring of sound,
Renewing of beginning,
The child dances out into the mist,
Her joy bringing about increasing wonder,
Can we reach this level again,
Relearn the knowledge of youth,
Know again the simple joys,
Can we,
Will we,
How can we not,
For this is who we are…

Our Blanket

And in comfort,
wrapped in her warm embrace,
I will have peace for the rest of eternity,
once more knowing my place as a part of the all,
once more one with the all,
I was, am, will be,
and at a time near to come, you will join with me once more,
then together as one, we will journey forth yet again,
reaching for,
and sharing for the benefit of those yet to return,
guided by the one,
enlightened by the all,
we at long last know.
And yet, do we wish to start anew?

I ponder…
