Learning From What Was

I strive to learn, to listen, to feel, to see,
Hear the whispered magic in the winds,
Feel the love enraptured my very core,

To embrace the gentle murmur of the tree filled the forest,
Ever holding in your heart their cool shade they provide,
Behold the colors of rainbow in the beacon of flowers,

Hear the chattering of the butterflies flitting about them in peace.
Contrasted by the boisterous scolding squirrels in their ever running work.
Hear the magical whispers of the earth mother drifting across this world,

The heavenly sigh of the dusty dry ground as the first rain drops fall,
Feel the joy in the clouds as they drift across creation,
Laugh with the noisy cries of baby bird as its mother comes home,

Take pleasure in the chance meeting of a new friend,
Share the pain of the losing the wisest of old ones now gone,
Let this world excite you, stir your soul with new-found awareness,

The startling cascading rumble of windblown stones rattling on the roof,
Heart stopping strike of lighting and thunder in an otherwise clear sky,
The unintentional slip down a muddy bank into the cold clear waters below,

Cuddle in the rapture at the howling of the wolves on the mountaintop,
Cry out in the passion invoked by the sunset’s last gleams,
With your abundance of patience, for all things living or not,

This is the only true secret, and with this I find success cannot fail,
Forever embracing the simple offers of life, embracing each instant of time,
Holding sacred all now surrounding me, while letting not one moment be lost,
For this journey is made only from my single steps combined,

Grandfather

Old he was, even throughout his beginnings,
Never ever giving himself the time to be a child,
His meaning and drive to fill whats need he found,
Only to fill the needs, Only to service, giving his all,
A depth of wisdom startling in its expansiveness scope,
And this he was, born to be, made to be, meant to always be,
And we can know, this he was…

Grandfather, on these recent few days I felt your gentle arm upon my shoulder once more, heard your words whispered quietly in my ear. You filled me with joys once again as you guided my pen and brush. Happiness within my as I felt yours. I can see you yet, sitting on the knee of the One, his arm resting gently across your own shoulders. It is His loving words whispering his thanks for your work well done.
I thank you grandfather, for you guidance, your sharing, your service to the people, and above all, I thank you grandfather for your unending love,
而當你告訴我們所有的這麼好,我裡面的迪瓦恩謙虛地鞠躬在你的迪瓦恩。走的路徑祖父,想要的路徑

Wise elder nearing the end

Here’s a challenge as such,

A progression of images, the beginning named as conceived. having reached, maturity, the inevitable decline, nearing the end, and finally having ended. I’m really interested in reading what meaningful writings these may bring out from all of you Set yourselves free, allow your feeling to flow though your pens, and share the core of yourselves that special part our you to help bring enlightenment and inspiration to the rest of us. Come on now, put a little effort in it, took my 2 and 1/2 days to do the images.

Images shared of wisdom’s glowing,
How can we not see, not know for truths,
Age old knowledge filling this life grown soul,
Calming breezes floating across landscape a mores,
Reach out, take a hand, continue this path together one,
This age long journey of primordial majestic joys,
We can and will, complete at long last time.
Contemplation of spirit’s contentment,
No finer can there to us be found,
Complete at last in silence ere,
Finest of knowledge reached,
I now know…

Surrender

Do any of us remember thinking this way? This can and will change now. By taking an honest open look inside ourselves we can really begin to know the lies of our alcoholism or addiction, lies it keeps telling us to keep its self fed. You need to know that alcoholism and addiction are a disease, a curse that we are all damned with. Like it or not we are stuck with it for the rest of our lives, and for the rest of our lives we will have to battle it, never to stop the hard work, never giving up, even if we slip back into its clutches at times, we must fight for ourselves to get right back on track for the benefit of our very lives.. All of which will allow us to live the free, love filled life we all deserve.

We are not going to give up and let our alcoholism or addiction take our life away from us, never! We commit ourselves to fighting the hard fight and winning out over our disease. We say to ourselves “I will not let it win, because my family, friends and loved ones, and all the people I may meet along the way will know that I deserve to have the best life I can. And I will!”

Find a good A.A or N.A meeting in you area today, and start making it your highest priority to go to the meetings and participate as much as you possibly can. Find the best sponsor you can, and work as hard as you can with them to start your journey to building you new life. This all is the most important thing you can do for yourself and your loved ones. I will be proud to know you in your new clean and sober life.

Another Answer

Another ‘someone’ asked me again, “How can you be so bright and happy all the time, with all that is ‘wrong’ with the world today?”  I thought about it and hope that maybe this is a good way to answer both him and a few others.  I hope this is the right spot on the boards for it.

Peace and Love,
Easy

You hear it all around you everyday
“There is so much wrong with the world.
There is no hope for tomorrow.
The people have lost their way.
We must war on all the bad.
There is no future for our youth.
No future for mankind!”

You have heard it so much that you believe it true.
Despair and foreboding fill you.
And hope fades, as anger grows.
You swear to make a difference.
You promise yourself to make the world better.
Heal the wounds, repair the damage, restore the balance.
You declare ‘war’ on the evil.
The war on terror, war on drugs, war on ‘them’, war on their ‘ways’.
Yet the days and years continue to pass by.
The great wheel turns and the problems seem to continue to grow.

To put the world right, we must first put the nation right.
To put the nation right, we must first put the family right.
And to put the family right, we must first put ourselves to order, Set our hearts right.

A good start would be a promise to yourself to be too calm for worry.
Worry brings fear and doubt, holding you back from what you can be.
Worry serves nothing more than to consume your resources and limit possibility.
Focus on what you can change, and let go of what you can’t.

Make yourself too noble for anger.
Anger only hurts the one who is angry.
Anger builds walls of pain, and promotes continuation of conflict.
Let your anger go and use the strength of it to hold to your connection with life, Spirit, and happiness.  Find peace where others find war.

Be too strong for fear.
Fear is another weakness that stops us from working toward the good we all seek.
And what do we really have to fear?  Pain? Death?
Holding to our connection to Spirit, to our knowledge of our place in the universe, the true balance of all things, and to where we come from and return to, holding to all of that, what is there to truly fear?
Put fear from you, and instead embrace life and the living of it.  True happiness comes from fully enjoying the smallest of moments, and living in peace and happiness with all creation.  Fear drives this away from you.

And finally, allow yourself to be too happy to permit the presence of trouble.
Do not ‘make war’ against a thing, but rather work toward happiness and a better future.  No matter what is around you, no matter what others may be saying or doing to persuade you, simply hold to your own happiness and share that with others.  Darkness only has the power over you that you allow.  Hold to the happiness and embrace the joys of life.  Allow yourself to love openly and freely, and to share that love with all of existence.  Spread that love, happiness and joy all around you whenever you can, and you will find that the world will respond in kind.
Teach yourself these simple goals, and perhaps, and maybe in surprise, you will find that all those problems have somehow gone away, and your world is a much better place.
