Left Behind

Agonizing pain,
This vast emptiness,
Forlorn host now lost,
How do I now to go on,
How do I dare to continue,
Only yesterday future bright,
The whole of tomorrows entice,
Yet today vision now dark and lost,
Where have you journeyed to alone,
Why for am I left here in pensive pain,
Reaching out I find you not,
Ever searching still you’re lost,
Calling and hearing only the silence,
Pleading but no answer to spring forth,
How now do I continue without my best part,
They say to make peace,
Tell me to let memories dim,
Assure me this pain too shall pass,
But I know well their misunderstanding,
They cannot will-not ever know the truth,
Me empty shell left here while she’s gone home,
Why to continue onward all alone?

Lack of Choice

This a relentless storm of falseness,
I fear the trauma laid out before us,
Dread the dark future for ny children,
The few clamp down on the many,
Sharp cutting claws of privileged,
Will we really ever learn to stand,
Recover all what they’ve stolen,
Existence all fearful bleak disgust,
Ever will we take back what lost,

Smoke and Wine

This mind numbing Calliope of silence,
Echoing shadows dancing across my world,
Unanswered questions no longer seeking light,
Is this it, all that is left to me, the end of my dreams,
Optimistically turning from the gloomy trend,
I take another drink, light anther fag,
And dose with a sheepish smile…

Smoke and Wine

I find this quote highly intriguing,

In that being that Einstein was a devout Christian, even to the point that he refused to believe in the factual truths found in some of the sound resulting findings of his own research experiments in Quantum Mechanics, dismissing any of the facts that conflicted with his religious teaching by saying,
 “God doth not make mistakes.”
“If people are ‘good’ only because they fear punishment, and hope for reward, following the orders of others exclaiming the way they must be to reach that reward, then we are a sorry lot indeed, and humanity is doom to self-destruction.”

~Albert Einstein
